There are thousands, maybe even millions of articles on the web all claiming to be able to provide you with much-needed answers when it comes to making money online. But, how many of these turn out to be sales pitches, trying to convince you to buy an expensive ‘product’ or join a pyramid scheme to make the millions that they promise you?

Legitimate Ways to Make Money Online
Thankfully, there is no need to be duped by these make-money-quick schemes that will probably end up costing you more money than you make, as there are plenty of genuine and cheap (or even free!) ways to make an income online.
Blogging
Blogging is one of the most popular ways to make money online. Pretty much anybody can build a blog, provided that you have a topic in mind and are good at putting things into words.
People blog about anything and everything from their travel experiences to technical information to food recipes. Who knew that you could make money from writing about something like what your cats get up to every day?
When it comes to making money from your blog, there are a range of methods to choose from. Most bloggers like to use advertising such as ad banners where you get paid for clicks, but the most lucrative method is affiliate marketing, where you promote products on your blog and get paid a commission for sales.
Websites That Pay
If you’re not looking to make a full income online but wouldn’t mind making a few extra bucks, there are plenty of websites which pay you to do a whole load of random stuff.
Sites such as Swagbucks pay you to do things such as take surveys, give you cash back when you buy items from certain sites, or allow you to earn credits from using their search engine. You’re not going to make megabucks, but it’s a great way to have a bit of extra cash coming in to treat yourself with.
Freelancing
If you have a skill such as writing, website design or graphic/logo design, you could make plenty of money online by selling your services as a freelancer.
Fiverr and other freelancer sites are great places to start out, and by posting jobs and completing work for customers who use these sites, you’ll be able to build up your portfolio in order to start charging extra for the work that you do.
Successful freelancers can easily earn a nice income, but bear in mind that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication – often working for next to nothing – to build your freelancer profile and turn your career into a success.
Buying and Selling
Lastly, buying and selling online can be a really profitable venture, especially with online shopping on the rise. Buying products at cut prices and then selling them on for a profit doesn’t even require you to have your own website, as you can do it via trusted selling platforms such as eBay and Amazon.
Choose products that you know will sell well – such as gadget accessories or the latest fashions – and brush up on your photography skills to attract plenty of potential customers.
Making money online doesn’t have to cost you! 🙂
