Things Must know about WhatsApp
Note:
Unlike other traditional apps and social networking sites, it does not need to provide any username explicitly. It uses the phone number instead, and implicitly creates a UserId internally. After the Id is being created it accesses the phone numbers stored in the phone memory and the SIM memory and creates a list of Contacts whose number matches the ID of the Whatsapp accounts. Thus, you don’t have to bother about searching the ID of your friends or relatives. You just have to select the contact you want to have the conversation with and start sending text, images, audio, video.
You can also record your sound and send it to any contact. You can send messages individually, create groups and also broadcast it to the selected ones. You can also set your profile picture which makes easier to identify someone. The groups enables you to view the phone numbers of other friends who are not in your contact list and thus helps you to create new contacts.
You can download the app absolutely free from its official website www.whatsapp.com. Choose the appropriate version for your phone. For the Android phones you can also have it from the Google Playstore. There are also some similar apps like Line, We Chat, etc. which provides similar facilities but none of them had achieved the popularity that Whatsapp has.
