Canon or Nikon?

These two brands seem to be the leading one in the “camera world.” These might be seeming expensive, but it is recommended to choose between these two as their quality is top notch and these come with the warranty. There are very few chances of things going wrong with these two until you do some physical damage.

Nikon has been known to be the faster one and is usually preferred when you have got to make good quality videos, but the drawback is that the prices can be relatively way too high.

Canon Vs. Nikon

Canon, on the other hand, is known for their expertly good exposure and capturing highly definitive photos. These two are recommended for getting the best digital camera on a budget, including best features.

Types of camera

Before you go into the market to ask for a camera, do your research on what type of camera do you want. When you go out there, there are so many options that you will get confused. There are three types of cameras:

  • Compact/point-and-shoot.
  • Mirrorless interchangeable lens.
  • Digital SLRs (DSLRs).

There are several other options too, but these are the most common ones used now a day.

Point and shoot model cameras

These are the purest form of cameras these days. Just Digital SLRs (DSLRs). Open the camera and start shooting. Also, these are portable and easy to carry. Their prices are quite lower as compare to other cameras coming in the market.

If you are not looking for professional photo shoots, these are recommended for you. The camera quality is not much different from the phone cameras these days.

Plus, it offers the same features as most of the smartphone these days like bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity, etc. when buying these look for optical image stabilization and zooming in/out features. If you are getting basic and simplest ones, they might cost you $100 to $200.

The prices go up are you add more and more features like compact megazooms have amazingly good zooming functions. The prices go up to $200 to $500. Then comes the cameras with 1″-type sensors, they are excellent for capturing more light. Their prices range from $500 to $1500.

Mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras

These cameras are recommended for the more professional approach. They have more creative option and better image quality, but the prices are much higher.

They are the small camera as compared to, and the designs are much more straightforward. They were designed to remove massive mirrors and optical viewfinder system. These cameras were relatively slower, to meet up with that need, DSLRs were introduced.

Digital SLRs (DSLRs)

These are the most trending and top of the charts cameras. They are designed for professional photo shoots and contain wide variety. Their prices are usually starting from $6,500. They have revised autofocus systems, and their speed is much faster than the previous ones.
