Years ago Microsoft pretty much had a monopoly on software. Today, it’s a different world! There are many other alternatives to Microsoft anything, especially PowerPoint. PowerPoint has always been the go-to software for any type of visual presentation that one would do.

PowerPoint Alternatives

If you’re wondering or looking for other presentation software to see if it’s as good as PowerPoint, you just need to ask yourself a few simple questions; what type of presentation am I doing, what will the software offer in terms of template design and features, will I be able to share with others, is it user friendly, will it be compatible with everything else that I use and is it affordable.

You may want to check out the free presentation icons at Beautiful.AI to see other options. Nevertheless, I am happy to share with you five modern presentation software alternatives to PowerPoint.

  • Vyond.
  • Zoho.
  • Google Slides.
  • Keynote.
  • Slidedog.

Table of Contents

  • 1] VYOND
  • 2] ZOHO
  • 3] GOOGLE SLIDES
  • 4] KEYNOTE
  • 5] SLIDEDOG

1] VYOND

When using Vyond, you will be able to do so much more in your presentation. While PowerPoint pretty much uses text and images that may move and slide from left to right and vice versa, with Vyond, you can bring your presentation to life by creating an animated video which can and will make your presentation much more visually appealing. Your audience will be engaged and it has the same features that PowerPoint has.

You will be able to share your presentation, the software is simple to use, it’s compatible, you have many features and templates and you can have it for $39 per month.

2] ZOHO

Zoho is also very user-friendly, but most importantly it has a free plan for up to 25 users! Anything beyond that can cost anywhere from four to six dollars per user. How great is that? It’s compatible with all desktops and android users. It also has a variety of features and templates and your presentation can be shared with others.

3] GOOGLE SLIDES

Google Slides provides a plethora of features. With Google Slides, you have the ability to share documents that anyone can edit when you give permission, it’s easy to create your presentation; making the software user-friendly, you have access to edit presentations offline and you can access the document from any device. Last but not least, it’s free.

4] KEYNOTE

Before I get into the features of Keynote, be aware that, it is designed specifically for Mac computers, yet and still the features are amazing. While PowerPoint is big on using bullets Keynote focuses more on images so that your audience is more engaged.

This particular software is a bit more user-friendly than PowerPoint, it has many templates available for use; you are able to share with others and its compatible with MAC’s iPads and iPhones and it’s free.

5] SLIDEDOG

Let me first say that I love the fact that you can stream your presentation live with Slidedog. However, you would need to upload media for your presentation because they lack a design library, but that doesn’t have to stop you from making an amazing presentation.

You can still share with your audience live. It’s simple to use, it’s compatible with desktop computers and PC’s and it’s free as well.

While PowerPoint has been around for ages, there are plenty of alternatives out there for your use.
